Robert De Niro never stops talking politics

Robert De Niro was on the famed stage of the Apollo Theater Wednesday night — and he was singing the same old song.

The actor was introducing an HBO documentary about the legendary Harlem venue — which doesn’t contain a single reference to President Trump — but nonetheless, he ranted for the millionth time about the prez.

“Every time I set foot in this hall of art and entertainment I can feel its incredible history,” De Niro said before a screening of “The Apollo.” “In these disturbing times when the administration is promoting divisiveness, and racism, by being here tonight we are making a statement that we reject it.”

He added, to a crowd that included Smokey Robinson, Angela Bassett and Keegan-Michael Key, “No, you don’t, not in this house, not on this stage.”

These days, it seems that De Niro cannot step on a stage or see a camera without launching into a Trump tirade.

Then again, Trump did tweet last year that De Niro was “a very low IQ individual,” who had “received to [sic] many shots to the head by real boxers in movies.”
