Movie bosses looking for actor to play Liam Gallagher

Britpop-loving blokes aged 18-23 who have the “look” and “voice” of the Oasis rocker have been asked to record themselves performing a classic piece of Gallagher dialogue.

In a famous YouTube clip the younger Gallagher says of his brother Noel: “I’m not into slapping anyone around. But there are days when I’ve needed a slap and he’s slapped me and there’s days where he’s needed a slap and I’ve slapped him.”

The film will be based on the autobiography of Creation records boss Alan McGee, who discovered the Roll With It hitmakers in a Glasgow club in 1993.

As well as featuring the notorious brothers, the film will reveal hidden secrets of the wild Indie music scene of the 1990s.

Danny Boyle is executive producer and Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels star Nick Moran will direct the film.

Wannabe Liams are asked to email their videos to [email protected] by no later than 6pm tomorrow.
