Miley Cyrus ‘Hitting on’ Ariana Grande on Text Following Pete Davidson Split

AceShowbizMiley Cyrus has her own way to cheer broken-hearted people, including her pal Ariana Grande. The fiance of Liam Hemsworth revealed during her recent appearance on “The Howard Stern Show” that she texted the “Thank U, Next” hitmaker following the latter’s recent split from former fiance Pete Davidson, and the text was not typical thing you would send to your friends.

“I’m an emoji person, so I just sent a bunch of hearts and the little cat with the heart eyes,” Cyrus shared to host Howard Stern. “I literally think I sent the cat with the heart eyes.”

The “Wrecking Ball” singer continued saying that she thought the text might lift up Grande’s mood, and might be coming off a little flirty in some ways. “I thought it was slightly, maybe even kind of making her feel good, like maybe I was hitting on her a little bit.”

“It felt like to me, it felt maybe like a little, ‘Oh hey, someone loves you. If it’s not working, here I am,’ ” Cyrus went on saying, adding that the “Breathin” singer replied her text with cloud emojis.

“It all said everything,” Cyrus said of the emoji exchange. She translated Grande’s emojis as her way telling her, “I’m okay, and I’m here. … Thank you for thinking of me.’ That’s what I think it meant.”

Cyrus and Grande have been friends fo so long. Last year, the former showed support for the former following the bombing at her Manchester concert, writing on Instagram that she wanted to “give my friend @arianagrande a great big hug right now.” Alongside Robbie Williams, Pharrell Williams and more, Cyrus performed at “One Love Manchester” benefit concert.
