Met Gala 2019’s best couple’s outfits revealed

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

The couple, who first locked eyes with each other at the Met Gala 2017, made a welcome return to where their relationship began.

Priyanka wore a grey Dior haute couture gown with a cage bodice and a train of multicolour feathers, and finished the look with a larger-than-life crown.

Husband Nick Jonas donned a dashing white suite covering a jazzy silver shirt and tie.

Adding extra sparkle to the outfit, Nick opted for a silver brogue and high-end jewellery from Chopard including a necklace, ring, and a watch featuring a whopping 38.30-carats of diamonds set in 18k white gold.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter

Benedict Cumberbatch ditched the simple back tuxedo and showed up in a three-piece white suit with a matching fedora and black cane.

The Sherlock Holmes actor finished his look with a green brooch and a pair of elaborate moccasins.

His wife Sophie Hunter looked equally impressive in a rippling lilac floor-length gown with puffy sleeves and a long train.

Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble

The Kardashian momager rewound the years as she sported a shoulder-length blonde wig which looked something fresh out of Mean Girls.

With her toyboy Corey Gamble on her arm, the 63-year-old wowed in a navy Tommy Hilfiger jumpsuit with a plunging neckline.

Added some much-needed texture to the outfit, Kris finished her look with a tulle jacket with bold chiffon shoulders.

Boyfriend Corey jazzed up his black suit with a pair of snazzy heeled boots and a blue silk neckerchief.

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas, who married in a surprise wedding in Las Vegas last week, walked the red carpet in matching Louis Vuitton by Nicolas Ghesquière outfits.

The singer wore smart black trousers with Chelsea boots and a loud printed turtleneck.

Echoing the same design and colours, the Game of Thrones star wore a sequinned jumpsuit with a simple black belt.

The Met Gala 2019 marks the first time the duo were spotted together after they exchanged nuptials in front of an Elvis impersonator last week.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

Older sister Kim Kardashian went for the classic wet hair and sheer dress look as she walked the red carpet with husband Kanye West.

The 38-year-old wore a practically see-through beaded Theirry Mugler dress which, according to the Keeping Up With The Kardashians Star, took around eight months to create.

Mirroring someone stepping out of the sea, Kim’s dress featured droplets on the body-con latex design.

Sticking to what he knows, Kanye showed up in a suit which was rumoured to have cost less than 50 dollars.

Kylie and Kendall Jenner

Sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner arrived at the Met Gala in equally bright floor-length feather gowns.

The siblings were soon compared to Dumb and Dumber characters Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne thanks to their orange and purple coloured dresses.

The makeup mogul stole the show in a sheer purple mermaid gown with a feather train, and in true Kylie style she wore a lilac wig

Kendall slicked her hair back into a low bun and paraded her supermodel figure in the bright orange gown with sequinned and feathered detailing.

Lena Durham and Jemima Kirke

Lena Durham and fellow actress and best friend Jemima Kirke wore matching rubber glove inspired outfits.

The pair wore tiny mini dresses, with Lena rocking a baby pink colour while Jemima wore a similar get-up in black.

Lena’s dress had ‘Rubberist’ emblazoned on the front in large red letters printed underneath a pair of rubber gloves.

Jenna’s gown featured the word ‘Looner’ accompanied by jewels and a picture of a balloon.

They both finished off the look with a pair of elbow-length black rubber gloves.

A whole lotta rubber was needed for those outfits.

Tommy and Dee Hilfiger

Husband and wife Tommy and Dee Hilfiger donned stars and stripes for their bold matching outfits.

Dee brought the heat in a pair of knee-length silver boots and a navy dress with fringe detailing.

She covered her arms with a striped cape in homage to the US flag.

Designer Tommy Hilfiger added sparkle to his outfit with stars and match the suit with a glittery pair of shoes.
