Meghan Markle's Baby Shower Cost $200,000, and Serena Williams Paid for It

While your friends won’t even text you back, Meghan Markle’s friends are the kind who pay for a $200,000 NYC baby shower without blinking an eye. Because those kind of friends exist, apparently.

A new report from Vanity Fair estimates the total cost of Meghan’s grand baby shower getaway to be a whopping 200 grand. But critics worrying about Meghan spending British taxpayer $ need not fret, because her pals foot the bill.

VF says that Serena Williams organized the whole shebang, which apparently included booking and paying for the $75,000-a-night penthouse suite at The Mark. If it sounds fancy, that’s because it is—the suite is two full floors and is the “largest hotel penthouse suite” in the US. Fun fact, it’s also the most expensive hotel room in America. Go big or go home, I guess.

To ensure this was the most A-list baby shower of all time, Meghan flew to New York on a private jet, which costs about $100,000. Thankfully, VF said another friend spotted her there by lending her the plane and covering the cost.

Seriously, where can I find these kind of friends? Any tips, Meghan?
