Lucy Pargeter: Emmerdale’s Chas has implants removed amid breathing issues ‘I look awful’

Lucy Pargeter said she hadn’t been able to breathe properly for over a decade but has now had her DD breast implants taken out. The Emmerdale favourite, 42, claimed she now looks “awful” after the procedure to remove what she branded her “toxic bags”. The Chas Dingle actress will appear on tonight’s Channel 4 Dispatches, exploring wether implants are making people sick. She explained the symptoms she has experienced which she has linked to her boob job, after having two: the first at 21 and the second 11 years after.

“They are out,” Lucy told The Sun. “I’m as flat as a pancake, I look awful but feel good.”

Recalling her hours after the surgery, she continued: “The first thing I did was panic because I could breathe – I could take in a massive breath.

“I thought they were trying to give me too much oxygen – I panicked. I forgot what it was like to have a full lung of air. I mean, it’s amazing – I can breathe.”

The mother-of-one speaks out in this evening’s documentary, while sharing a video diary of what happened.

Lucy went on: “The surgery went absolutely fine, they were both really encapsulated, so they were both quite deformed. I know that everything is going to be much better, including my symptoms.

“Hopefully my joint problems and anxiety and the rashes on my chest and the pain I get in my chest and armpits will be gone.

The star added: “Why I had them done in the first place: vanity. That old thing called vanity.”

Earlier this month, Lucy turned heads for all the right reasons when she walked the red carpet at the British Soap Awards 2019.

Wearing her dark tresses up, she teased a glimpse of her cleavage in a show-stopping black gown.

The number featured sheer detailing on the neckline, arms and waist, while also flashing a glimpse of her toned pins.

It also comes after she split from her long-term boyfriend Rudi Coleano, with whom she shares three daughters: Lola, 13, and two-year-old twins Missy and Betsy.

A spokesman for the couple previously told Digital Spy: “Lucy Pargeter has confirmed she has separated from her long term partner Rudi Coleano and while no longer together their main priority is raising their three daughters.”

Despite never walking down the aisle, the pair were engaged for 12 years.

They came close to tying the knot in 2012, with Lucy saying: “We were in Dubai about a month ago and we said, ’S*d it, while we’re here, let’s do it.’

“Then I thought all our mates would be like, ‘Oh cheers, thanks for the invite’.”

Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV, while Channel 4 Dispatches will air an hour later.
