Kit Harington to use ‘Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow statue as scarecrow

Kit Harington has to protect his and Rose Leslie’s garden of eatin’.

The “Game of Thrones” star, who plays Jon Snow, stopped by “Live! With Kelly and Ryan” this week and showed off the fruits of his and his wife’s farming labor—a huge vegetable garden. To protect the crops, Harington had the idea of using one of his souvenirs from the HBO series’ set to scare off any unwanted animals.

“I kept a statue from ‘Game of Thrones’ of me … It looks exactly like me,” he joked of the resemblance. “That’s going to go in the vegetable patch, and it’s just going to say ‘Game of Thrones’ lines and attach a little speaker to it. ‘Winter is coming.’”

While the statue may serve as a modern scarecrow, perhaps animals will also be caught off guard by Harington’s new look. The usually bearded actor shaved his facial hair ahead of his “Saturday Night Live” appearance, and fans became incredibly upset almost immediately.

“I’m suing SNL for having Kit Harington shave his beard. This is an utter travesty,” one person tweeted.

“If Jon Snow can resurrect from dead, I’m sure his beard can too,” another said.

Even Gary Janetti chimed in: “Kit Harington shaved his beard and he’s just ordinary underneath. We’ve been played.”
