Jax Taylor’s $80K tax debt is ‘taken care of’

Jax Taylor was hit with a tax lien weeks before he’s set to marry fiancée Brittany Cartwright.

A lien filed on March 27 showed the “Vanderpump Rules” star, whose real name is Jason Cauchi, owed the state of California $80,424 in taxes.

A clerk at the LA County Registrar- Recorder’s Office told Page Six the lien has not been released, but Taylor’s rep told us it has been paid off.

“Everything was taken care of before purchasing his house,” his publicist told us.

According to the IRS, it can take up to 30 days after receiving payment for a lien to be released. Taylor’s rep did not state when the debt was paid.

The 39-year-old reality star’s financial trouble comes as he and Cartwright, 30, move into their first home together and plan for their wedding in June, which is taking place in a castle in Versailles, Kentucky.

During a “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” appearance on April 9, Andy Cohen told Taylor, “I have said to you that I want you to save whatever you are making from the show.”

“I don’t spend my show money,” Taylor responded. “I spend my other stuff money.”

Aside from television, Taylor has a line of cocktail mixers called Just Add X and is launching a beer cheese company with Cartwright, who chimed in during the segment, “We’re trying to be smart, Andy. Promise.”

“You may want to talk to some of the other cast members,” Taylor added. “Not me. I’m frugal. My dad taught me well.”
