Howard Stern says ‘wild’ Donald Trump was one of his best guests

Donald Trump was one of Howard Stern’s “best top five guests of all time,” the shock jock said in a new interview, revealing that the would-be president once asked him to speak at the Republican National Convention.

Stern plugged his third book “Howard Stern Comes Again” on Stephen Colbert‘s “Late Show” Tuesday night, saying he mentions Trump nearly a dozen times in it.

He was maybe one of the best top five guests of all time and why? He was wild,” Stern said. “I thought I was wild.”

The brash-talking longtime radio host said Trump was a “great guest because he would say anything that came into his mind.”

“He was completely unfiltered. He was talking about his daughter [Ivanka Trump] was the most attractive woman he’d ever met and how much he thought she was hot,” Stern said.

He also recalled Trump seeking his endorsement in the run-up to the 2016 election, even though Stern’s loyalty lay elsewhere.

“Donald said, ‘Would you please come to the Republican convention and speak on my behalf?’ And I went, ‘Oh my god,’” he told Colbert. “You know, it’s a weird thing because here a guy is asking — who asks me to do a thing like that? — and it was very nice, but I had to find a way and say ‘Look, I can’t do this.’ He knows I’m a Hillary Clinton supporter.”

The former Fartman said he was convinced Trump didn’t actually want to run for president — and only did so to boost ratings for “The Apprentice.”

“What did he say? ‘I’ll run for president, I’ll get a lot of press,’ and I really believe that Donald — this was a gimmick to get NBC to raise up his salary and to keep ‘The Apprentice’ on,” Stern said. “And I would bet the farm on that.”
