Gemma Collins brags about being booted off Dancing on Ice

Gemma Collins has spoken of her delight at being booted off Dancing on Ice as she watched Sunday night’s show from the comfort of her own home.

The Towie star hung her up ice skates for good last week after becoming the fifth celebrity to be eliminated from the show.

But as the competition revved up a gear in its latest episode, an absent Gemma said she was delighted to be sitting out.

She tweeted: "Wising all the amazing contestants a very god luck tonight.

"I’m not going to lie it’s actually really a nice feeling enjoying the show from home tonight."

And in solidarity with her co-stars remaining in the competition, Gemma added:  "I know what they are all going through so best of luck guys."

After having spent the last month arguing with Jason Gardiner, being evicted from rehearsals and confined to a wheelchair after face-planting the ice, the GCs time in the contest had been short but eventful.

But while Gemma was enjoying putting her feet up on Sunday, many viewers tweeted to say their was a a GC-shaped hole on the reality show.

Taking to social media as several stars including Wes Nelson , Brian McFadden and Saara Alto took to the rink, fans vented that the show was simply boring without the Essex diva.

And many even claimed they would be switching off.

"@missgemmacollins wont be watching #DancingOnIce tonight, not the same without Gemma," one wrote.

While another added: "DOI tonight, deffo ain’t gonna be the same though without the GC".

A third wrote: "No point watching dancing on ice next week then if there’s no Gemma Collins, boring".

Gemma, 38, received the lowest score of the evening last week by far with 15.5 out of 40.

All four judges decided to save injury hit cricketer Ryan Sidebottom after the dreaded skate off.
