Former Child Star Ricky Schroder Arrested For Felony Domestic Violence TWICE!

For a troubled child star, Ricky Schroder is kind of a late bloomer.

Ricky was the precocious lead of the hit ’80s TV show Silver Spoons, a Richie Rich-inspired sitcom about a kid with WAY more money than he knows what to do with.

While several of his Hollywood peers were developing drug problems and getting in trouble with the law, Ricky — a faithful Mormon — went on to get married and have kids.

Eventually he got adult roles, too. You may even know him better for his role as Detective Danny Sorensen on NYPD Blue.

But it looks like things have begun to break bad for the actor, who has been arrested TWICE in the last month.

It seems to have all started after Ricky’s wife left him in 2016. After 24 years and four kids, Andrea Bernard claimed irreconcilable differences.

We don’t know what happened between the two, but if Schroder’s new scandal is any indication it couldn’t have been the healthiest relationship.

On Wednesday, TMZ reports Ricky was arrested on domestic violence charges!

The outlet reports police responded to a call about a domestic incident at the actor’s Malibu home shortly after midnight and took Schroder in.

He was later booked for felony domestic violence, meaning there were visible signs of abuse. His girlfriend reportedly refused medical treatment at the scene.

Shockingly, this is the second time Schroder has been arrested for domestic abuse in just ONE MONTH.

Back on April 2, the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department responded to a similar call, and just like this time booked him for felony domestic violence. That time he was accused of punching his girlfriend in the face when she tried to leave the house. Charming.

However, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office ended up declining to prosecute that case due to “lack of sufficient evidence.”

Um, does another arrest for the same exact thing count??

According to NBC News, Ricky has once again been released after forking over $50,000 in bail.

Schroder’s girlfriend has not been identified, but we do understand this was the same woman in both incidents.

Man, we hope she can get away from this before it gets any worse. It always gets worse.
