The 23-year-old entertainer made it to the opening night, despite being really sick with a chest cold.

“i mean…it wouldn’t be opening night if i wasn’t hellaciously sick, right? ??? everyone send good vibes and healthy vocal cord energy, i’m laughing but i’m crying lol @LITPMusical,” she wrote ahead of the performance.

“thank you SO MUCH. my voice is wrecked , otherwise i would have come out to say hello. nothing like a chest cold to kick off a run !! so glad you liked !!! ❤️???,” she replied to a fan who praised her performance.

“we were lucky enough to open the most glorious show ever written last night, with the most staggeringly beautiful and perfect cast in the world, in my opinion, with the MOST INCREDIBLE AUDIENCE we could ever hope for, and i’m still absolutely floating. i could never overstate my gratitude or tell you the contents of my heart. i am so happy and forever humbled. i never want this time in my life to end,” Dove added after the show on her Instagram.
